Lazy, hippie days call for boots, a low-key well-loved dress, and a lovely sweater. I got the dress at Goodwill a few years ago and it has served me well!
I am so happy I finally found a flannel! They really are the best for layering. Even better, this one was free! I love that even my guy friend's closets have stuff to offer. I was feeling lazy today and with laziness usually comes a grunge outfit because one can look stylish but be comfortable at the same time, which in my world, is rare.
Dress: Goodwill
Boots: Sketchers, Timberland knock offs from Goodwill
I woke up thinking both about Coachella and the return of Effy on Skins in the upcoming months. This outfit came out of those two thoughts. The skirt is a really amazing tree branch tie dye type of print and its sheerness allows for many layering opportunities. The dress is easy and very comfortable. My new triangle Afghan necklace holds special powers, I can feel it.
Forgive me for all the photos being in my front yard. I never can find anyone to help me take my pictures when I need it! Working on at least getting a real tri-pod.
I'm really feeling red at the moment. Maybe its because its a color one can wear in both summer and winter and since its January here but nearly 80 degrees at noon, it allows me to dress for both seasons.
I am obsessed with plaid lately!!! I cannot get enough. Its something about the history of plaid that intrigues me. It always seems to come back around.
I found this dress at Goodwill a while ago, the beading is really lovely. The shoes were a score at Crossroads, $60!!! I saw a girl try them on but then put them back. I died.
I was feeling lazy so I decided to try some man-repelling in the form of layering and mixing prints. I realized half way through I didn't have a flannel! But I at least had this denim button down. These jeans are the only ones I wear regularly. They are so unique and super soft.
My latest and greatest find from the Jet Rag $1 sale. If you are in the LA area and have not been yet, check it out! I suggest going with at least one friend though so you can compete with the groups who grab tons of stuff. They open the new bins around 10:30. Make sure to get there by 10:00 to stake your claim!
At first I thought this dress was an apron but once I took it home and looked closer, I realized it was a wrap dress! It is definitely homemade and I'm guessing 70s from the feel of the polyester fabric.
